About the Herbalist

Current Projects: Updated Feb 2008wildcrafting

Welcome to my site nicoletelkes.com! I am an herbalist and massage therapist currently residing in Austin, Texas. Now that the weather is cool(sort of), I am back in Austin in the middle of another series of classes. You can click here to register and check out upcoming classes. I finished a botanical adventure up and down the Rockies over the summer of 07, bringing back lots of great fresh plants and finished an intensive in Marma Point Therapy with Dr. Vasant Lad in Albuquerque NM this July. I am now integrating this knowledge into my practice with tuning forks, gemstones, and aromatherapy. As far as new herbal developments, I have put together an advanced apprenticeship training and would like to welcome Crystal Davindson, Brackin Camp, Andrea Melendez, and Stephanie Berry into the 100 hour program. The apprenticeship will revolve around the Blackland Learning Garden, apothecary, major Wildflower School PLant Allies and a sliding scale herb clinic. I am now getting ready to leave for a desert dotanical adventure in March and hope come back as clear as the desert sun and full of energy to begin our outdoor classes in Austin. I want to thank my assistant Stephanie Berry for all she does in the apothecary and otehrwose. She has helped me design this site and create many wonderful remedies for folks. Look for our new Newsletter Wildflower: Herbs, Weeds, and Other Wild Things in Central Texas.Educational Background Nicole Telkes has spent the last decade intensely studying ecology, botany, herbal medicine, holistic healing, and bodywork.
