About Me!
What am I up to?
Welcome to my site! I am a weedcrafter working hard to get an herbalist on every corner of Central Texas. My practice focuses on using herbal therapeutics and bodywork to restore the body to balance. My first love is being outside and spending time with the plants, especially bioregional medicinals. My practice consists of seeing clients as both an herbalist and massage therapist, a 6 month 250+ hour herbal apprenticeship program, and a fully stocked apothecary open to the clients, students, and select pracitioners. I believe strongly in honoring, respecting, and protecting the Earth through all my work. Stephanie Berry, Herbalist and Apprentice Midwife, manages the Wildflower apothecary and apprenticeship program. You can read more about Stephanie here. The past few years I have been studying Ayurveda, I did some seed collecting for the Millenium Seed Bank, and am refining my skills as a bodyworker.
2010 activities: A very fertile year! So many students, so much water, lots of herbs. I completed a clinical intensive in January with Margi Flint, amazing herbal goddess from Marblehead, Massachusetts I went to the Anza Borrego in the Sonoran Desert to study desert medicinals and did some wildcrafting. In summer I headed to the Southern Rockies to teach a field class. I am became a Continuing Education Provider in Massage in Texas. Septemeber brought me to the Traditions in Western Herbalism Conference in New Mexico. In October, I taught at the American Herbalists Guild Symposium, the Native Plants of Texas Symposium and sponsored Matthew Wood and Margi Flint to teach a joint Clinical Skills class. As always II was busily making herbal extracts from native, weedy fresh, vital plants
2009 activities: We moved our apothecary into a cottage in my backyard and added several new herb beds. I began seeing private clients at MyoMassage in Austin and visited the Northeast for plant collecting, the International Herb Symposium, and visiting my dear friend and mentor Margi Flint of Earthsong Herbals where I will be offered some classes

Stephanie has been working with me for over 4 years. She began as a student in my classes about 6 years ago. During that time I have had the honor to watch her go through a pregnancy(while in classes until her last couple of weeks) and give birth to her daughter Kira, who is now a walking and talking little herbalist herself. Stephanie studied with several other herbalists and completed a doula training. SHe is now working as an Apprentice Midwife. She has begun to see clients, formulate mama and babycare items in the apothecary, and has started offering classes in natural childcare. Stephanie is a guest teacher at the Wildflower School Stephanie can be found on the web if you click here
