2009 Basic Herbal Medicine Apprenticeship Program
Now accepting applications for the Wildflower
School of Botanical Medicine Basic Herbal Apprenticeship Program
beginning January 2009. The Program consists of 6 intensives We will be
meeting 2-3 times a week in winter and 1X a week in spring.The goal of the
program is to provide a basis for learning how to study herbal medicine,
identify local medicinal plants and learn how to prepare and use them, and
introduce working with clients and the human body. The program comes from
a deeply ecological perspective of working with plant medicines and uses
both traditional and non-traditional teaching methods incorporating in holistic
healing models. Please see details at side bar. To apply, call to schedule
an interview. After the interview, you may turn in your completed application
and a deposit of $265 to hold your place. Cost: $1395. ($100 off if registered by Dec 1 2008 after which program is $1495)

March 2008 The Outdoor Herbalist 8 week Intensive:Spend
your spring outside learning about the wild and weedy plants of Central
Texas. This 8 week intensive introduces you to major Texas plant families,
local medicinal plants, flower essence work, honing your senses and deepening
your plant vision. This class meets Sunday mornings and ends around 3PM.
You must take Foundations in order to take this class. Students who have
completed the first four classes may retake this expanded class for a
reduced rate. There are some optional overnight trips.
This intensive costs $500. A $75 dollar deposit and registration
form holds your place and if you register up to 1 month prior to class
you receive $25 off the full price. Please go to the payments
page to use paypal. Dates for the Intensive are March 30, April 6.

June 2008 Foundations in Herbal Medicine
Prepare yourself your your journey on the green path. This intensive is a general overview of herbal medicine covering the history, plant identification, wildcrafting, major central Texas herbal allies, properties of plants, herbal preparations, legal and safety issues, vitalist theory, flower essences, and ends with a field trip to Heron's Nest Herb Farm.
