<Learn to use herbs safely and with maximum effectiveness for yourself or with clients. We will explore herbal preparations specifically for use by bodyworkers, estheticians, or other practitioners. This class is open to everyone regardless of whether or not you are a pracitioner. This class will include hands on demos, treatments we practice on each other and take home items!!!!We will be learning basic herbal bodycare preparation making like infused oils, salves, creams cleanser, toners and spritzers, and more. We will then take a look at therapeutic spa products and how to make scrubs, masks, treatments, and more with a special focus on making things that are more balanced for our body constitution(or dosha). We will explore herbs, essential oils, types of carrier oils, natural preservatives, thickeners, types of salt, clays, seaweeds and familiarize ourselves with ingredient options. You will also receive information on additives and preservatives(some found in organic labeled products) that you should watch out for. There will be demos and hands on work. You will leave with at least 3 of 2 types of preparations to take home complete with many packaging options and cute labeling ideas.Registration consists of a completed application and a $75 deposit

The Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine is offering a Southern Rockies Field Intensive. The purpose of this class is to introduce students to the medicinal and edible plants of the Southern Rockies. This Class is open to those students who have completed the outdoor herbalist portion of the Wildflower School Apprenticeship and would like to develop their wildcrafting and weedcrafting skills in another bioregion and experience plants at different elevations. We will be doing plant walks, awareness exercises, flower essences, learning the history of the area, keying out plants, and if appropriate, some harvesting medicine. Registrants will be given maps, camping and lodging options and all the necessary details to make the trip as smooth as possible. Proposed dates of lecture and Plant ID are July 2nd-4th (you are welcome to stay longer for your own enjoyment) Cost $299, $275 if early registered by May 15 Class is open for up to 10 registrants with appropriate level of training Register now to hold your place.
